The Artists Bio:

Jatinder Singh Ryatt, "Jay", was born in Nairobi, Kenya.  From an early age Jay became fascinated in Motor Sports and developed an acuity for repairing and modifying ATV's, Sandrails, Dunebuggies and Motorcycles.  This interest led Jay to a career in metal working.  Welding in particular.

In the Ryatt compound nothing of metal goes to waste.  A rusty tractor disk might be reborn as an Octopus or perhaps a wall hanging.  Gigantic sprockets, no longer a part of their original use, find new life as table tops or lighting structures.  In addition to recycling cast away parts, Jay also relies on his customers inspirations to create new masterpieces of silhouettes magically carved into steel gates.  His use of plasma cutting and welding inner weave his creations into blissful and useful sculptures, kinetic pieces, sconces, shields and other metallic wonders.

Jay's an avid outdoorsman and is attuned to all things Mother Nature and all she has to offer.  Much of his art not only depicts plants and animals, but he often incorporates wood and rock as an integral part of the artwork.  Figurative artists, like so many others, often venture off to create abstract pieces as well.  However, you'll discover that many of his pieces are considered functional art.  Lamps, Tables, outdoor fountains, frames, vases, baskets... why even the humble U. S. mailbox has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Below are just a few pieces created by Jay.  Run your curser over the picture and select an image that you would like to enlarge.  The image will instantly transform into a picture with natural lighting.
